RANGEROVER/ LANDROVER: INCREASE IN THEFTS (W.YORKSHIRE POLICE AREA)

Dear residents. 

We would like to make residents aware of a recent increase in thefts involving Land Rover and Range Rover vehicles within the neighbouring West Yorkshire Police area.

These vehicles have been specifically targeted by offenders and a number have been reported stolen in recent days. Whilst these offences have occurred outside of our area, we know that organised vehicle crime can operate across force boundaries, and we would encourage all owners to take extra precautions to protect their vehicles.

We are asking residents across Saddleworth to remain vigilant and ensure their vehicles are secured at all times. Consider additional security measures such as:

Please report any suspicious activity, anyone acting unusually around parked vehicles, or any attempts to interfere with vehicles to Greater Manchester Police via 101, or 999 in an emergency.

The Saddleworth and Lees Neighbourhood Team works closely with our colleagues across the border in West Yorkshire Police, sharing information and intelligence to help prevent and detect crime and keep our communities safe.
